他问：“若一人说集市有老虎，您会相信吗？”

He asked, “If one person said there was a tiger in the market, would you believe it?”

魏王摇头；若有两个人这样说，他便开始迟疑。

The king said no, though he admitted that two voices might make him hesitate.

若三个人都这样说，魏王答：“那我可能会信。”

Asked about three people repeating it, the king replied, “Then I might believe it.”

庞葱提醒：集市本来没有虎，重复不能代替证据。

Pang Cong reminded him that no tiger was there and repetition could not replace evidence.

他担心远行以后，会有人把流言反复传给魏王。

He worried that while he was away, people would repeat rumors about him to the king.

后来流言增多，魏王没有查证，渐渐疏远了他。

Later, rumors multiplied, and without checking them, the king gradually distanced himself from Pang Cong.

三人成虎提醒我们：听得再多，也要先查清真相。

Three people making a tiger reminds us to check the truth, however often a claim is repeated.

重复不是证据；听到传言时，要核对来源和事实，再决定是否相信。
