原来，真国王被藏在一座透光的水晶井花园里。那里有台阶、花草和清泉，他身体健康，每天都把观察写成白鹤叶信。

The true king had been hidden in a bright crystal-well garden with stairs, flowers, and a clear spring. Healthy and patient, he recorded his observations on crane-shaped leaves each day.

宫中的假国王穿着同样的绿金王袍。他回答政事很响亮，可每当经过铜镜，镜里总会闪过一缕青绿色狮子云影。

The false king wore the same emerald-and-gold robes and spoke loudly about royal business, but every polished mirror revealed a faint turquoise lion-cloud reflection.

悟空跟着一只白鹤叶信找到隐藏花园，打开了通向台阶的机关门。真国王笑道：“先别急着相信我，也请公平地查证。”

Wukong followed a crane-shaped leaf to the hidden garden and opened the stairway door. The true king asked him not to believe anyone too quickly, but to check the evidence fairly.

唐僧请两位国王回答三个问题：去年哪座桥先修、老花匠喜欢哪种茶、太子小时候把白鹤画成了几根尾羽？

Tang Seng asked both kings three questions: which bridge was repaired first, which tea the old gardener preferred, and how many tail feathers the prince drew on his childhood crane.

真国王答得清清楚楚，还指出王袍白鹤应有五根尾羽。假国王的徽记只有四根，镜中也再次浮出青绿色云影。

The true king answered clearly and explained that the royal crane should have five tail feathers. The false king's badge had only four, and the turquoise cloud reflection appeared again in the mirror.

假国王现出青狮云灵模样，惭愧地承认：“我只学会了王冠和礼服，却没学会倾听大家。”他打开花园门，向真国王道歉。

The false king revealed his turquoise lion-cloud form and admitted that he had copied the crown and robes without learning to listen. He opened the garden door and apologized to the true king.

乌鸡国恢复了往日的欢笑。师徒告别时，一只火红纸鸢从火云谷飞来，尾巴上闪着温暖的小火星——下一段旅程正在招手。

Joy returned to Wuji Kingdom. As the travelers departed, a red paper kite drifted from Fire-Cloud Valley with warm little sparks along its tail, inviting them toward the next adventure.
